About these terms
These terms cover the site at hormos.xyz, the app at app.hormos.xyz and our server at api.hormos.xyz. Together we call them Hormos. “We” and “us” mean the team that runs Hormos, and “you” means the person using it.
By using Hormos you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. How we handle data is explained on the privacy page.
What Hormos does
Hormos is an AI agent for perpetual futures on on-chain trading venues. You type an order in plain words, and Hormos:
- reads it with our own model, on our own server, and shows it back to you as an order card;
- checks it against your limits (maximum leverage, total exposure, loss per trade and daily loss). These checks are plain code with fixed rules, never the model;
- compares venues on what the order would cost;
- places the order only when you press Confirm.
Confirm works within 60 seconds of the card appearing. When you press it, the checks run again: same wallet, fresh account data, a price that has moved less than 0.5%, and limits that are unchanged and still met. One press sends the order once. Nothing is retried on its own.
The model can misread what you type. That is why every order comes back as a card for you to read before anything is sent. Hormos takes no fee on orders today. The venues charge their own fees.
Test networks only, for now
Today, account reads, trading key approvals and orders go only to the trading venues' test networks, where balances are test funds rather than real money. From the venues' main networks Hormos reads public market data only, such as prices and order books, for its cost comparisons and charts.
Before Hormos places orders with real money, we will update these terms.
Your wallet, your funds
Hormos is non-custodial. Your funds stay in your own trading wallet and in your own account at the venue. We never hold them, and we never ask for any wallet's private key or recovery phrase.
When you first sign in, with a social account or a wallet, you get your own Hormos trading wallet, made by our sign-in provider. All trading runs from it: its address is your account at the venues. Its key is held split and encrypted by our sign-in provider, never by us. It can be used only after you sign in, so anyone who gets into your social account, or the wallet you sign in with, can use it too. A wallet you sign in with only proves who you are. It never trades.
To place orders, Hormos asks your trading wallet to approve a short-lived trading key, and it signs only after you press to approve. That key is made in your browser and kept in the page's memory only. It is never saved and never sent to us. It can place and cancel orders, it can never withdraw or transfer funds, and it expires after about 24 hours. Reloading or closing the page drops it.
No investment advice
Hormos shares information. It does not give investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and it never picks a trade for you. If you ask it what to buy or sell, it is built to tell you it does not do that.
Venue safety grades, cost comparisons, charts and the model band drawn on them are information to help you look. They are not recommendations and not an endorsement of any venue or market. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.
What you are responsible for
- Every order you confirm. Read the whole card before you press Confirm.
- The limits you set, and what happens when you loosen them.
- Your social account, or the wallet you sign in with and its recovery phrase, and the device you use. Anyone who gets into them can sign in as you and use your trading wallet. Your trading wallet has no recovery phrase unless you export its key, so keep your sign-in safe.
- Making sure you are allowed to use Hormos and to trade these products where you live, and any reporting or taxes that apply to you.
Trading venues
The trading venues are independent of us. For your account and your orders, your browser talks to them directly, and your account, orders, fills and positions live with them under their own terms. We do not control a venue's prices, fees, outages, liquidations or rule changes, and we cannot reverse anything a venue does.
Using a venue through Hormos means you also accept that venue's terms.
Risks
Perpetual futures
Perpetual futures are leveraged. A small move in price can mean a large loss, and a position can be closed by the venue (liquidated) with little warning. Funding payments add up while a position stays open, and prices can jump in seconds, so a loss can be bigger than you planned. Only trade what you can afford to lose.
Software
Hormos is software, and software has bugs. The model can misread an order, data from a venue can be late or wrong, a network or a wallet can fail, and a page can stop working mid-trade. Our checks reduce these risks. They cannot remove them.
If our sign-in provider is down, you cannot sign in or use your trading wallet until it is back. A trading key you already approved, in a page that is still open, keeps working until it expires.
Where Hormos works
Hormos may not be available everywhere, and trading these products is not allowed in some places. We may hide order placing, or limit or stop access, in any place where we decide it should not be offered.
Fair use
Please use Hormos the way it is meant to be used. Do not:
- use it for anything unlawful, or to hide where funds come from;
- try to break into, test the security of, or get around the limits of Hormos, its server or its API without our written permission;
- overload it, or send automated requests beyond normal use;
- scrape or copy it at scale, or resell access to it;
- use it to harm other people, the venues or us.
Found a security problem? Tell us at hello@hormos.xyz and give us time to fix it before you share it.
No promises about the service
Hormos is offered as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will always be online, free of errors, accurate, or suited to what you want to do with it. We may change, pause or remove any feature at any time.
Limits of our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using Hormos. That includes losses from orders you confirmed, from market moves, liquidations or funding, from a venue, network, wallet or our sign-in provider failing, from information that was late or wrong, and from bugs or downtime. We are also not responsible for lost profits or any indirect loss.
Some laws do not allow some of these limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as that law allows, and nothing in these terms takes away rights the law says cannot be taken away.
Stopping and changes
You can stop using Hormos at any time: sign out and clear the site's data in your browser. Your sign-in and your trading wallet stay with our sign-in provider until you ask us to delete them. Write to hello@hormos.xyz, and we will check the sign-in is yours before we delete it. This deletes your trading wallet for good: signing in again gives you a new, empty one. Move any funds out first.
We may stop anyone from using Hormos if they break these terms. We may also change these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If you keep using Hormos after that, the new terms apply.
